A signature home is a thousand decisions, and every one of them lands somewhere. At Monien Construction, they land with Nick Monien, the owner, on your site, every build. There is no project manager between you and the person responsible, and no phase where the home is handed to strangers.
Since 2008, that model has produced homes across Lake Geneva, Fontana, Williams Bay, Delavan, and the wider lake country: lakefront residences with rooms built around the water, timber-framed entries cut on site, and interiors finished by the same craftsmen who framed the walls.
The most recent is the Whitewater Lakehouse, a new home built from the ground up on the water and entered in the Lakeland Builders Association 2026 Quality and Design Awards. Every room of it is photographed on its project page, with an eleven part video tour led by Nick.
We take a limited number of custom home commissions each year, and each one gets the full attention of the same crew from excavation to the final coat.

Build from your architect's plans, or start with us at the first sketch. Every drawing is reviewed for buildability and budget before a shovel moves.

The Whitewater Lakehouse
A new custom home on the water in Whitewater, Wisconsin: 3,400 square feet finished, 2,300 square feet of outdoor living, completed in 2026. Entered in the Lakeland Builders Association 2026 Quality and Design Awards, New Residential Homes.
